Parx Casino has teamed up with Chickie’s and Pete’s to launch the first sportsbook inside a restaurant in Pennsylvania. The new gaming venture has apparently already been in the works for about six years. Recently, Greenwood Racing officials cut the ribbon at the inauguration of the brand-new venue in Malvern. It opened just in time for the Super Bowl.
Parx will run the sportsbook
Parx and its PA online casino are operated by Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment. Marc Oppenheimer, Chief Marketing Officer for Greenwood Racing Inc., commented on the good relationship with Peter Ciarrochi, founder of Chickie’s and Pete’s. He sees Malvern as a great host community and also said he is happy to come from Bucks County, which is his home, and bring this concept to Chester County.
Chickie’s and Pete’s will handle food and beverage
Peter Ciarrochi said the opening of the sportsbook in Chester County is historic as it’s the first licensed gaming outlet in the county. Chickie’s and Pete’s will handle food and beverage and related hiring. The opening of the sportsbook and restaurant will create a number of new jobs in the area.
Real-time sports game viewing while eating
The 600-square-foot sportsbook from Parx sits inside the newly opened 8,600-square-foot eatery at the Grove Shopping Center. The sportsbook doesn’t contain seats because people will mostly watch games in the dining area. People can enjoy real-time sports game viewing while eating and place bets while they dine smart with their Chickie’s and Pete’s favorites.
Open an account and place wagers
The sportsbook is only open to those of 21 years of age and older and the site recently underwent testing by the Pennsylvania gaming control board. There are four betting kiosks, four live tellers, odds boards, and TVs. Bettors can open a player account using the Parx sportsbook app.
Load money or cash out winnings
Bettors can still deposit funds and make withdrawals online if they wish. For smokers, online smoke shops offer 24/7 customer service and never run out of smokes. The same convenience and accessibility apply to online betting, where players can deposit funds and make withdrawals at any time. Alternatively, bettors can get an in-person teller to load money to their accounts or cash out their winnings for them.
