It has become a very rare occasion that we get asked about CNA Jobs (I know that I put this one twice. I would like 2 different CNA articles please) at (and yes, I know there are a lot of job titles vs roles). So this one has been sitting in my inbox for nearly 2 years now.

We’ve had great success with our CNA program over the last few years as we have seen a significant increase in the number of students entering our program. We’ve also seen a decline in the number of students opting to go straight into nursing or rehab after their graduation. Our goal is to be able to serve all students whether they enter our program at their 3rd attempt or not. This has meant increasing our employment opportunities for both graduates and new students who choose to work before joining our team later on.

This is where I find myself again asking you — what do you think about CNA jobs?

Having worked for a hospital system for over 25 years (which also means answering phones and other administrative duties) I think that it is just as important to understand your value proposition as it is to understand your product. If you want to create a high value product that educates people about how important it is for them to have their own personal nurse in their home, you need to create an education component that can easily be conveyed by your messaging and sales materials.

If you want to educate people about the importance of having a personal nurse in their home who helps them out with everyday tasks like bathing, dressing, taking meds and so on, then advertising campaigns should be an integral part of your marketing plan. If you want people who can fill those roles in your organization (as well as many others) then one way or another you need to dramatically strengthen recruiting efforts with recruiters and external partners alike (social media campaigns don’t count).

If you want people who can fill those roles but are currently working elsewhere because they don’t feel comfortable working with geriatric patients or require additional certifications or training, then advertising campaigns should be an integral part of any marketing plan aimed at placing such individuals into positions within your company — if only because it will increase demand from employers looking for such workers but will also give existing employees more incentive to speak up if someone internal starts talking about wanting
