7 Tips To Install Wire Balustrade

Wire balustrades are becoming more and more popular in Australia, due to their low-cost, lightweight design. They are often used for staircases or balconies that have a height of less than 3m. Installing a wire balustrade can be tricky if you don’t know what to do, especially when it comes to the wiring. If you want to install a wire balustrade yourself, then this blog post is perfect for you! We will cover 7 tips that will help make installing a wire balustrade much easier!

1. Scaffold

You will need to install a wire balustrade on a scaffold or a sturdy ladder. You should use a ladder that is very secure and won’t wobble when you place your feet on it. Always have someone holding the ladder from below, so it doesn’t fall over.

2. Measure The Height Of Your Balcony Or Stairs

Depending on your preference, you can choose to either measure from the floor to ceiling or from the finished stair height to the top of the balcony railing. In either case, make sure that no part of any side panel is going over the edge! If they do go over, then you’ll have issues connecting them using clips.

3. Start By Measuring The Length Of Your Balcony Or Stairs

Once you have measured the height, it’s time to measure the length of your balcony or stairs. This is important because you will need to know how many side panels and end caps you will need.

4. Cut The Side Panels To Size

Cutting the wire balustrade side panels to size is the easiest part! Simply use a hacksaw or wire cutters to cut them to size. Make sure that you leave enough Miami stainless wire on each end so that you can connect them using clips.

5. Drill Holes In The End Caps

Before you can install the end caps, you will drill holes in them. This is so that you can feed the wire through them and connect them to the side panels. Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the width of the wire.

6. Connect The Side Panels And End Caps

Now it’s time to connect the side panels and end caps! This is done by using clips. Simply insert the clip into one hole on the side panel, and then twist it so that it locks in place. Do the same for the other hole on the end cap.

7. Feed The Wire Through The End Caps

Once you have connected all of the side panels and end caps, it’s time to feed the wire through them! This is easiest if you use pliers or a screwdriver to help push it through.

Wire balustrade is a great way to add safety and style to your balcony or stairs. It is a very low-cost, lightweight option that can be installed by anyone! It is easy to put together and can be taken apart if needed. If you follow the 7 tips we mentioned in this blog post, then you will find it much easier to install wire balustrade yourself
